Damascus - The boss and some leaders of one of the most powerful rebel group in Syria, Jaysh al-Islam reported killed in air strikes in the east of Damascus.
"The founder of the group, Zahroun Alloush, 44 years old, including those killed in rocket attacks that fell on a meeting place," said the rebels and the Syrian army was quoted as saying by the BBC on Saturday (26/12/2015).
The Saudi-backed group that is one of the largest and most dominant factions in rural areas in East Ghouta.
This group recently joined the high-level meeting in Riyadh opposition groups, which then produce a framework for peace talks with the government.
According to the Saudi-funded television station, Al-Arabiya, 10 rocket exploded in meeting the commander of Jaysh al-Islam. They also reported that the deputy leader of the group were killed.
In a statement relayed by state television, the Syrian military commander said they had done "a special operation" that killed Alloush.
